NECK AND DÉCOLLETÉ

The neck and décolleté area is often overlooked unless any problem begins in the area. In fact, what needs to be done is to consider this area as an extension of the face, treating it the same as the face without neglecting it.

Neck and Décolleté Deformities

These deformities are related to skin; however, there is also an unavoidable deformation of the neck and under the skin, which occurs with age. This is called platysma bands.

Platysma is a muscle layer that starts from the jawbone and extends over the collarbones, covering our neck entirely. The bands between this large muscle become prominent over time. These are called Platysma Bands. They are more noticeable when the neck is moved, especially stretched. As the upper layer of the skin thins or gets deformed, these become more visible. They are the bands that vertically extend under the skin from the chin to the collarbones.

How are Platysma Bands corrected?

Application of toxin may reduce them or prevent their increase. Small doses may be injected into the band, 1.5 cm apart. This application provides 70-90% improvement, which lasts for 4-6 months.

What can we do for our neck and décolleté?

  •     This area should be treated same as the face.
  •     It should be protected from sunlight and ultraviolet light.
  •     Cleaning, moisturizing and anti-ageing treatments should be done.

What deformations are seen in the neck and décolleté area and what can be done for treatment?

Loss of elasticity

All methods used for skin renewal can also be used for the neck and décolleté area.

All methods can be used, including PRP, Microneedling, Fractional Laser, Focus Ultrasound, Mesotherapy, etc. Professional Skin Care can be done and home products should be used with care.

Neck Lines

These are the horizontal fold lines that occur as the neck folds. These lines can also be treated with toxin injections.

Mesotherapy can be applied inside the line. The meso cocktail administered into the fold line may reduce the lines by allowing growth of new cells.

All methods can be used, including PRP, Microneedling, Fractional Laser, Focus Ultrasound, etc.

Professional Skin Care should be done and home products should be used with care.

Spots

Although they are not common in the neck, they are mostly seen in the décolleté. Any treatments used for the spots on the skin can also be safely used in the décolleté area.
